Der Stil des vollen, fleischigen Gesichtes mit einem ruhigen, friedvollen Ausdruck sowie die Verwendung von Gusseisen verweist auf eine mögliche, frühe Entstehungszeit der Figur in die spä- tere Song oder Yuan Dynastie, wäh- rend der für großformatige Skulpturen gerne diese Gusstechnik und das Material Eisen angewandt wurden.
