Nagel International Auktionen

Nagel traditionally stages four major auctions each year in Stuttgart. These consist of several thousand lots, and focus on furniture, paintings, arts and crafts, collector's carpets and fine art from outside Europe. Since 1991, the firm has also held one major annual auction in Leipzig. For more than 25 years, the Auction House Nagel has also conducted specialised auctions of antique and old collector's carpets. At the present time, these take place twice a year and have earned international respect. In addition to this, since Asian Art has established itself so successfully on the international market, two such auctions take place annually. At the present time, three specialized modern art auctions take place each year. Top prices have lent fame to these auctions in the last few years, and they are further supported and prepared by worldwide press advertisements and specialist publications. Acquisition for all Nagel Auktionen is carried out by our experts in the Stuttgart main office, or in the course of acquisition appointments all around the world. These are conducted either by agents in the various countries or by our own representatives:

The Leipzig branch was established as early as in 1990. Nagel was therefore "first past the post" and is the only firm of auctioneers to hold auctions in Leipzig on a regular basis. With the support of the Stuttgart main office, an independent firm of auctioneers will come into being in the foreseable future. A Japanese representative has, for many years now, maintained contact between our firm and the Far East. Our representation in Israel is still relatively young, but has, nonetheless, vigorously endeavoured to establish itself, and can already bask in the light of its first successes. Plans have been laid to massively increase these endeavours in the future.

In the year 2000 NAGEL AUKTIONEN was mentioned more than 2500 times in the press and therefore became an international brandname.
