"The Market"

National and international record prices, including several world records, have enabled the Stuttgarter Kunstaktionhaus Dr. Fritz Nagel to become a highly renowned firm of auctioneers, not only in Europe, but also throughout the world. The major auctions in Stuttgart and Leipzig, and additionally, the regular special auctions for collector's rugs and carpets, Asian and modern art, attract a global clientele.

Two years after starting out in the art business, at the age of twenty-seven, Dr. Fritz Nagel, son of a well-known jeweller, staged his first auction in 1924 in his home town Mannheim; not only the beginning of the House of Nagel, it was a premiere for Mannheim, the first of its kind in the town's history. Right up to the present day, this pioneer spirit has led the constantly expanding company to new frontiers.

After more than 75 years and hundreds of auctions, the Stuttgarter Fine Art Auction House now ranks as one of the principal addresses in the marketing of art works. It holds, due to its efficiency and the quality of its service, a very special position in this market. The list of our references is long.
