Tibet, ca. 15th c.67 x 24,7 x 4,3 cm
The rectangular cover carved in deep relief with a rectangular cartouche showing a vase in the centre containing feathery leafs and issuing a scrolling tendril to each side encompassing each eight emblems, including the Saptaratna and Ashtamangala emblems, all placed within a lotus petal border, the reverse coloured red and one side carved with four minute figures flanked to each side by two stupas.
