Khmer, Koh Ker style, 2nd quarter of 10th c.
H. 106 cm
Standing in frontal position with his legs slightly apart, wearing vertical pleated sampot secured around the middle with a belt displaying a double fishtail section to the front, another section folded between his leg backwards and fastened to the belt, his naked upper body with incised belly-button, his face displaying a fierceful expression with bulging eyes below raised eyebrows, broad nose, open mouth showing fangs, elongated earlobes with large earplugs, his hair combed in a chignon covered with a tiered helmet and secured with a tiara knotted with a pair of ribbons at the reverse.
