A BRONZE RAIN DRUM

Burma or Thailand, ca. 18th c.

The hour-glass shaped drum cast with various concentric bands around its cylindrical body supporting the circular top set with four groups of frogs at its border, the centre with a radiating twelve beamed star and surrounded by concentric bands.
From an old German private collection, assembled prior to 1990
Traces of age, only few small damages, traces of corrosion
