assive and large bronze sculpture of a wrathful deity from the Hindu pantheon of Nepal. The gilded bronze of the deity with a third eye on the forehead with four arms is standing on a lotus base together with two devotees. In front of him on the lotus is standing his Dakini which has a five-fold crown and holds a kapâla in her right hand. This tantric deity is perhaps a certain wrathful aspect of Vishnu as generally known by the name Bhairava. He has wild hair rising up behind a five-fold crown which is decorated with snakes and skulls. The attributes of Bhairava are the sword. The kapala, a round shield and an armor made from chaines
and decorated with snakes and skulls. The original setting with iconographical colours is preserved mainly.
