China, 18th c.
H. 52 cm
Standing in slight tribhanga on a separate cast lotus base, both hands in vitarkamudra holding stems of padma lotuses flowering along both upper arms, wearing dhoti falling down in large pleats, secured around the waist with a ribbon knotted to the front, scarf draped around his shoulders with its streamers encircling the arms and its finials curling up, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows running into the nose-bridge, smiling lips, elongated earlobes with pierced ear-ornaments, his blue coloured hair combed in a chignon topped with a ratna, secured with a five-leaf tiara decorated with pair of pattras and floating ribbons, sealed.
