The Buddha head sculpted with a serene facial expression showing downcast eyes below arched eyebrows running into the nose-bridge, urna cavity originally set with a bead, slightly puffy cheeks, finely carved smiling lips, elongated earlobes and the curled hairdo continuing into the ushnisha, the reverse with rectangular hole for a bracket insert.
From the estate of the collection of the Berlin publisher Dr. Otto Eyssler (1861 - 1927).
