China, Qing dynasty, 18th/19th c.116 x 144 x 86 cm
Carved in openwork, the apron with a central dragon head made out of stylized clouds, the siderests with twin-dragon medallions, the backrest with a large central 'shou' character medallion within a square reserve, flanked by two fan-shaped twin-dragon reserves, surrounded by openwork scrolls showing stylized zoomorphic faces.
From an old South German private collection, acquired prior to 2007 - Restorations, minor traces of age
