Persia, ca. 17th c.Je Seite 24,5 x 14,3 cm
The leather cover is finely embossed on the outside with cartouches, filigree floral decoration and stylised cloud bands. The inside is decorated in polychrome lacquer painting and gold heightening with two figural scenes: On the left, four young ladies within a paradise garden with rich plant and animal decoration, on the right the depiction of a prince surrounded by servants and musicians. All around stylised cloud band decoration.
Important Bavarian private collection, collected before 2000 - Minor damages, wear and rest.
