Seated in vajrasana on a lotus base with both hands in the dharmacakramudra, wearing monastic garment including an underskirt and a patchwork mantle, its border engraved with scrolling tendrils, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows that run into the nose-bridge, smiling lips and a shaven hairdo, sealed.
From an important German private collection, acquired by the owner's father presumably around 1970 from Schoettle Ostasiatica in Stuttgart - Traces of age, minor wear
