Cambodia, Khmer, Baphuon period, 11th c.H. 66 / 68,5 cm
Standing in samabhanga with both arms broken, wearing a vertical striated sampot secured around the waist with a broad belt knotted at the back in a double butterfly-shaped knot, carved with various musters, two flanges of the textile are draped below the belt, incised belly-button, breast ornament, necklace and armbands, his head displaying a serene facial expression with almond-shaped eyes below ridged eyebrows, vertical third eye at his forehead, well-defined pouting lips, elongated earlobes, his hair combed in tresses to continue into the chignon consisting of tresses as well and secured with a pearled band keeping the chignon at its place. Mounted on a metal base.
