Description:

Tibet, late 15th century
H. 10,8 cm
Seated in lalitasana on a lotus base with her right foot supported by a smaller lotus issued by the main base, her right hand in varadamudra, the left in vitarkamudra, a pair of lotuses flowering along her upper arms, wearing sari, jewellery set with mainly later inlaid turquoise and some coral beads, her face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes, her hair combed in a chignon and secured with a tiara decorated with a pair of floating ribbons, resealed.
Important Southern German private collection collected until 2004, this bronze was acquired at Galerie Koller 9.12.2000, lot 68 .- Slightly chipped, minor wear
