Description:

Tibet, 17th /18th c.
H. 18 cm
Very fine depiction of an unidentified bodhisattva. He wears the fivefold bodhisattva crown. Jewelry and silk robes with fine floral decoration in gold pigments. The right hand points downwards and holds an unrecognizable round object, simultaneously extending the index finger and little finger in a threatening gesture. The bodhisattva holds his left hand in a gesture of fearlessness. There is a small opening on the back for receiving a votive offering.
