Description:

Tibet, 15th/ 16th cent.
H. 13 cm
Standing in alidhasana on a figure reclining on the lotus base, his right hand in front of his chest supporting the kapala while the left is holding the jewel-spitting mongoose, naked, ithyphallic, snake-garland curling around his body, bejewelled, his face displaying a severe expression with open eyes below arched eyebrows that run into his nose-bridge, pouting lips, elongated earlobes with snake-ornaments, his hair combed in a chignon secured with a tiara and decorated with a pair of pattras.
