Description:
Tibet, ca. 18th ct.H. 24,7 cm (o.S.)
Both rectangular plaques embossed with each a bodhisattva standing in slight tribhanga on a lotus-base, one placed on an elephant, both with one hand in abhayamudra while the other stretched downwards, wearing dhoti, bejewelled, their faces displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes, their hair combed in a chignon secured with a tiara and a kyung-bird above, the corners drilled with holes for attachment.
