An Egyptianesque cold painted bronze group, modelled with a sleeping maiden reclining against a fragmentary pharaonic figural monument, signed G. LEROUX in the maquette to one side and PROPRIETE D'EUG BLOT to the other. A vase element missing at the base, minor wear. Old collector's label to bottom.
Old German private collection, acquired in 1953.
