Brass front with fire-gilded applications, Roman numerals in cartouches, sham pendulum, decorated iron hands, marked "Bamberg Hoys". Elaborate, engraved verge movement with carillon, 1/4 hour strike on 2 bells, chain and fusee, signed: "Leopol(d): Hoys: Bamberg". (Johann Leopold Hoys, Vienna 1713 - 1797 Bamberg). Traces of age, restored, movement not checked. Modern oak case with openwork sides.
