Description:
Japan, signed Yukikazu, late Edo/ early Meiji PeriodH. 29 cm
With pale yellow-brown patination, in the traditional momozoko form used for displaying a single flower, modified by the addition of a short base rising from an angled foot-ring, the body finely decorated in gold, silver and copper with a three-clawed dragon, the long neck decorated just below the mouth with a cast band of cloud patterns, signed in incised cursive characters on the body below the dragon's tail Yukikazu with a kao, and in engraved seal characters on a silver plaque on the slightly recessed base Hirokore.
