Description:

China, probably Western Zhou Dynasty
L. 14,4 cm
Yellow, highly translucent, slightly cloudy jade, three fine perforations in head, back and tail. The silhouette shows in flat "huang" shape a crouched tiger with thick curled tail, the entire body surface covered on both sides with single incised spirals, C and S shapes. The elongated eyes are double contoured, paws and claws defined by engraved lines. Wood stand.
