Description:

China, Western Han dynasty
H. 38 cm
Cast bronze, more granular green, bluish, gray patina and also earth-colored sintering, remnants of the original gilding. This very characteristic for the Han period, bottle-shaped bulging Hu with long, cylindrical and at the end garlic bulb-shaped thickened spout belongs to a group of ritual vessels, which have become so properly known only in recent decades.
