The wrathful manifestation of the eight century Buddhist master Padmasambhava is featuring the centre of this painting whose most prominent characteristic is the dagger-blade shape of his lower body decorated with a pair of makara-heads, his right hand is brandishing the vajra while the left the scorpion, leaking flaming halo behind, flanking him are three Drukpa lamas and Ushnishavijyaya, the upper register with Buddha Amitabha flanked by Sadaksharilokeshvara and Padmasambhava, the lower section showing Kakamukhamahakala, Caturbhujamahakala and Sri Devi and all placed in a mountainous landscape, in brocade mounting.
