China. Qing dynasty. 18th ct.53 x 173 cm
Red silk velvet with gold threads. Lining: Brownish silk, probably replaced. On the seat a large lotus medallion, in front a pair of shizi lions with brocade ball over waves. The part over the back each with a large four-clawed dragon with flaming pearl. In the frame smaller dragons run between clouds.
From a private collection in southern Germany, acquired from Kunming Art Ostasiatica in Stuttgart on 10.10.1975
