This heavy robe(changyi) is richly embroidered with silver threads and was made for a noble Manchu lady. Black, starched silk gauze (sha) in leno weave, embroidered with silk in graduated shades of blue in counted stitches and silver threads. Borders with identical pattern (embroidered) or cranes (woven), here underlaid with black silk gauze. Brass ball buttons.
