A LATE GOTHIC IRON MOUNTED LEATHER LINED WOOD CASE

Description:

probably French, probably early 16th century
20 x 27,5 x 15 cm
Rectangular wooden case with a domed hinged lid, embossed black leather covering on all sides. Mounting, handle and lock of wrought iron. Later velvet liner inside. Damage due to age, minor restorations.
