The rectangular moulded and rounded corners above a pair of glazed brass doors with central pierced foliate pink cameo glass panel, enclosing a yellow silk lined interior with one glass shelf, above a lower section with moulded top above a pair of frieze drawers and an open compartment above a pair of panelled doors and a moulded and rounded plinth. Slight traces of age. Add.

Jacques Gruber (1870-1936) was a French glass painter and ebenist. Born in Alsace, he studied with Gustave Moreau in Paris on a scholarship. He taught at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Nancy, he worked for Daum and Majorelle among others, later he moved to Paris and concentrated on glass painting.
