Red-purple satin silk embroidered with gold thread and silk in appliqué technique, plus silk gimp. Lining: White silk.
A total of ten four-clawed dragons are withering between clouds, peonies and treasures. On chest and back each a canopy over a pagoda. At the seam in the stylized waves fish dragons, fish, vases and rocks.
This type of dragon robe (mang ao) combined with skirt (qun) was worn by the bride at weddings in Peranakan Chinese cultures in Indonesia.
