Bamboo and rocks. Ink and light color on paper, mounted and framed under glass. Signature: "Shen Yuan gong hua" (respectfully painted by Shen Yuan). Two artist's seals: "chen", "Yuan".
From a German private collection, acquired before 2007 - Paper browned, damage due to age, partially restored
Shen Yuan was a court painter at Imperial Ruyi Studio during the Tongzhi and Guangxu periods of the Qing Dynasty
