Japan, one signed: Shûgetsu, Meijj / Taisho PeriodH. 16-17 cm
Both carved in standing position. Ebisu, flanked by a large sea brass, is holding the staff of his fishing rod, Daikoku is carrying a small rat in his right hand and a large hammer in the other hand. Ivory, partly stained with polychrome colours.
From a South German private collection, since more than 30 years with the present owners - The sales permit for this lot is available - Partyl minor wear and only few small age cracks, the fishing rod chipped
