TWO CARVED IVORY OKIMONO OF EBISU AND DAIKOKU

Japan, one signed: Shûgetsu, Meijj / Taisho Period
H. 16-17 cm
Both carved in standing position. Ebisu, flanked by a large sea brass, is holding the staff of his fishing rod, Daikoku is carrying a small rat in his right hand and a large hammer in the other hand. Ivory, partly stained with polychrome colours.
