Description:
Tibet, 15th c.H. 14 cm
Seated in vajrasana on a lotus base with the vajra emblem to its front, his right hand lowered in bhumisparshamudra while the left is resting on his lap, wearing diaphanous monastic cloak showing a small textile section draped over the left shoulder in the shape of a swallow’s tail, its raised border incised with scrolling tendrils, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows running into the nose-bridge, raised urna at the forehead, elongated earlobes, the blue-coloured curled hairdo continuing into the ushnisha topped with a lotus bud, resealed and with label of Trocadero, Kennny & Higgins Asian Art.
