The remarkably fine and high-quality polychrome gouache paintings with gold highlights depict scenes from the life of Krishna. The scenes are worked in the Mughal style and offer a glimpse of very splendid Mughal palace architecture with numerous depictions of figures. The main action focuses on Krishna and the queen "Rukimi", surrounded by servants. Very fine border decorations, including minute depictions of animals.
