The exterior is deeply carved through multiple layered red and black lacquer with two registers of scrolling ruyi-shaped motifs descending from the everted rim and around the cylindrical short foot, the base with a further scrolling design, the interior lacquered black.
According to the present owner from a European private collection, assembled befor 2007 - Partly restored
