Ellwangen, probably Andreas Bechdolff, ca. 1762
3,8 x 8,5 x 3,9 cm
White opaque enamel, painted blue on the outside and decorated with silver rocaille ornaments. On the lid saying "Monsieur vous plait-il une prise Saintomer", in the lid red line work and trompe-d'oeil depiction of an envelope. Gilt brass mount. Slightly worn, small hairline cracks.
