The central figure of St. Anne sits on a throne bench. She wears a lush robe with a cloak, headscarf and chin scarf in the fashion of the period. Mary sits with a book in her hands on Anne's left knee, the Christ Child with apple in hand stands on the ritght knee. Elaborately designed group with rich drapery. Limewood, carved with deeply hollowed back and made of several pieces. Older polychromy with retouching, the incarnate parts and the white cloth of Anna later overpainted. In the base area treated anobia damages, restored, partly fixed with canvas. Damage due to age. Comes with a red velvet base.
