After the famous group by the court sculptor Johann Gottfried Schadow from 1795. The group shows the Crown Princess and later Queen Luise of Prussia and her younger sister Friederike. The two young women from the House of Mecklenburg-Strelitz married the Prussian Crown Prince Frederick William and his brother Prince Ludwig respectively in 1793. The marble group commissioned by King Frederick William II is now in the Alte Nationalgalerie.
