Princess Agnes von Württemberg (1835-1886) was the daughter of Duke Eugen von Württemberg and Princess Helene zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg. She married Prince Heinrich XIV von Reuß of the Younger Line at her parents' castle in Carlsruhe on 6 February 1858. The couple had two children. As the prince's wife she founded numerous foundations and institutes, and was also active as a writer under the pseudonym Angelica Hohenstein. Heinrich XIV Prince Reuss of the younger line (1832-1913) was an Imperial Prince from the House of Reuss, since 1867 Heinrich was Prince of the Principality of Reuss of the Younger Line, since 1902 also Regent of the Older Line. The date of 1883 indicates a gift for the golden wedding anniversary of the Reuß - Württemberg couple, who had married in 1858.
