Octagonal casket with hinged lid, finely chased, silver-plated metal with depictions of peacocks and pomegranate trees, the lid decorated with scales. The narrow sides and mountings made of brass with filigree work and set with cut amethysts, rose quartz and rock crystal stones (some stones slightly chipped). On an ebonised wooden base, fabric-covered interior. Damages due to age.
