Marked on the movement: Johann Iacob Rentschler (clockmaker in Calw around 1754). Embossed and fire-gilt front, copper chapter ring with Roman numerals, Arabic minute track, subsidiary dials for striking setting and repeater. Large verge escapement with quarter hour striking on 2 bells, 1 day running time and short rear pendulum. Rest, added, functionality not guaranteed.
