Green painted frame case with glass front. Painted iron panel with figural staffage, central Christmas scene and backdrop cut-out for movable angel of the Annunciation and two rotating discs with hunting motifs and depiction of the Turkish wars. Brass chapter ring with Roman numerals and decorated brass hands, signed ‘Kötl Wien’ and inscribed ‘La Invention Nouvelle’. Verge escapement with 1-day running time and short pendulum. Rest. added, no guarantee of functioning.
