The single-paneled doors set within rectangular frames and fitted flush around the center stile, opening to reveal the shelved interior with two drawers above a trap door, the hat chests similarly constructed, the whole raised on bronze-fitted legs of square section framing aprons carved with stylized floral scrolls. All front panels with soapstone-, jade-, and wood-inlaid relief decoration showing scholar's objects, the side panels painted with river landscapes.
