Description:
India, Deccan Region, 18th cent.L. 18 cm
Krishna is depicted in crawling posture with his right leg in front of the left one, his raised right hand is offering the ball of butter while the left is in the movement of touching the ground, naked apart from a belt and further jewellery, his head is slightly raised showing a serene facial expression with almond-shaped eyes below arched eyebrows, smiling lips, pierced elongated earlobes and his hair combed in a conical-shaped chignon.
