China, Tang dynastyH. 54 cm
Standing with her body swayed slightly to one side, her hands held in front of her chest concealed in the voluminous sleeves of her robe, the round face slightly turned upwards, with elongated eyes, full cheecks, a crisply carved mouth, dimpled chin, all beneath the hair elaborately coiffed in a double-bun topknot, the whole figure covered in white slip.
