This figure is similar to the famous large prancing ceramic horses typically attributed to Sichuan based on some excavations, numerous examples of which were sold at auction, most recently by Christie's New York, 20 September 2024, lot 1002 and by Bonhams New York, 30 September 2024, lot 46. Much smaller examples such as this lot are relatively rare at auction. For one such horse, cf. Bonhams London 28 July 2020, lot 101.
