For a very similar piece see Slg. Dr. Breuer, auction catalogue Berlin 1929, cat. No. 36, illustrated on plate 1 and the commentary in the foreword by Otto Kümmel: ..und die koreanische Töpferei, unter der das merkwürdige Gefäß mit Purpurdekor No. 36, eine Reltenheit erster Ranking, auffällt... Bemerkenswert ist die fast identische Höhet. ÜIncidentally, Kümmel dates this piece by Grosse to the 14th to 15th century. Today this piece is in the Westendorp Legacy under no. AK-NAK-551 in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. In his book 'Korean Pottery & Porcelain of the Yi Period', G.ST.G.N. Gompertz dates a very äsimilar pot (Folk Art Museum Tokyo) to the 16th/17th c. The same piece is described by Akaboshi, G. and Nakamaru, H. in their book 'Five Centuries of Korean Ceramics' Pottery and Porcelain oft he Yi Dynasty' under no. 6 and is illustrated inside and on the cover Rücken. Another similar piece, belonging to the National Museum in Korea, was published by d'Argencé in his catalogue '5000 Years of Korean Art' for the travelling exhibition through the USA from 1979-1981. For a piece that is also very similar in form, but with a bamboo motif, see 'The Art of the Korean Potter', Asia House Gallery, New York, 1968, no. 97 and finally a pot in Meiping form but with a very similar grape motif, no. 415 in Eckhardt, A. 'Geschichte der koreanischen Kunst', Leipzig 1929 - Few short firing cracks
