Japan, late 19th/early 20th c.L. 22,4 cm und 19,1 cm
Both of musôzutsu type, a) of black lacquer with three Daruma dolls in maki-e and red lacquer, on the reverse a poem in silver lacquer, sign. Hôgetsu, and b) of wickerwork with translucent brown lacquer with toys (including a Daruma doll, Fukusuke, and a carp on wheels) in maki-e and colored lacquer, signed Shôko (Masae) in seal shape, with fitting, eyelet and ring of metal.
From an old German private collection, assembled before 2007 - Traces of age, very minor rest.
