China, late Ming dynasytyH. 24,5 cm
Seated in lalitasana on a roaring caparisoned lion reclining on the lotus base, both hands in front of the abdomen holding stems of lotuses flowering along the upper arms, wearing dhoti, scarf draped around his shoulders, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, elongated earlobes with ear ornaments, his hair set in a chignon and secured with an elaborate tiara, traces of gilt- and red-lacquer.
