Autumn landscape with waterfall, lake, bridge and scholar's studio. Ink and light colors on paper, framed under glass. A long poem inscription, signed: on the first day of the tenth month of the jiayin year (1854) of the Xianfeng period ... painted and inscribed by Zhixiang Guan Qingfen. Two artist's seals: "Guan Tingfen", "Zhixiang", a collector's seal: "Wan Tuo Tang".

Guan Tingfen (1797-1880) pseudonym Zhixiang was born in Heining, Zhejiang and was a scholar, bibliophile and painter from the Qing dynasty. He was good at poetry, calligraphy and painting.
