The slab shows the traditional depiction of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni on the lotus. He is surrounded by allegorical animal representations of the virtues of a world ruler (Cakravartin): Garuda (M), pairs of snakes, macaras, rams, elephants and lions below the lotus throne. In the centre an atlantean-like creature is depicted supporting the throne.
