Description:
Tibet or Nepal, ca. 16th c.L. 20 cm
The inside is coloured with pigments. The rim of the calotte has a forged, fire-gilt copper border. Three stylised skulls and the head of a crowned bodhisattva are placed on the upper edge of the rim. Such sacrificial vessels have a highly spiritual and magical significance, and should be treated with great respec. Skull calotte. Copper, fire-gilt.
